02Inside the platform
What Antiguan employers run on Workzoom.
Employee self-service, admin dashboards, timesheets, and reports. One login covers the entire team, on any device.

Admin Dashboard
Headcount, turnover, and workforce trends update in real time. Your HR team sees the entire Antiguan operation on one screen, with every location rolled up automatically.

Organization Chart
The chart maps positions, not people. When someone leaves, the role stays in place along with the certifications and compliance requirements attached to it. Reorganizations stop being chaos.

Timekeeping
Employees clock in from the web, their phone, or a biometric device. Hours flow straight into payroll with overtime already calculated, so the pay run runs without surprises.

Leave Management
Requests come in from a phone, managers approve in a tap, and balances update everywhere at once. By the time payroll opens, accruals and deductions are already reconciled.

Payroll Financial Reports
Pay run summaries, deduction breakdowns, and remittance totals live in one report. Every line ties back to a calculation, and every calculation ties back to a record. Built for the way finance teams actually audit.

Benefits Administration
Enrollment, coverage, and plan management share the same employee record that runs payroll. The moment someone enrolls, deductions are already wired in. No duplicate entry, nothing to reconcile later.

All other suites build on top of Core.

Complete Platform ($16 per employee per month)
All four suites combined. For a 200-employee company, the complete platform costs $3,200 per month. For a 500-employee company, it costs $8,000 per month. Annual prepayment saves 5%, and non-profit organizations receive an additional 5% discount.
Discounts available
Annual prepay discount: 5% off when billed annually instead of monthly. Non-profit discount: 5% off for registered non-profit organizations. These discounts stack for a combined savings of approximately 9.75%. Example: a 200-employee non-profit on annual billing pays approximately $34,668 per year instead of $38,400, saving $3,732 annually.
What is included at no extra cost
Implementation and setup, data migration from existing systems (spreadsheets, other HRIS, payroll providers), training for administrators and end users, ongoing customer support, and all future software updates and new features. There are no per-payroll-run fees, no per-report fees, and no per-user license fees beyond the per-employee pricing.
Minimum monthly fees
For very small organizations, minimum monthly fees apply: $400 per month for 1 suite, $500 for 2 suites, $600 for 3 suites, $700 for all 4 suites. These minimums only affect organizations with fewer than 100 employees.

06How it works
What running payroll in Antigua and Barbuda actually requires
ABSSB contribution schedules, IRD reporting, and tourism-sector workforce management all make specific demands of the system behind the payroll run. Here is what Workzoom's architecture handles so your team does not have to.
Single database. No sync required.
HR, Workforce, Payroll, and Talent share one employee record. When a rate changes in HR, payroll reads it immediately. No sync job between modules, no export to a separate payroll system, no reconciliation step between timekeeping and pay.
Built for ABSSB contributions.
The engine is designed for Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board rates, the insurable earnings ceiling, and both employer and employee portions, rolling out through our launch partner program. The Medical Benefits Scheme and Education Levy are part of the same design.
IRD reporting and year-end documentation.
Inland Revenue Department schedules, annual returns, and full audit documentation. XCD currency formatting and a compliant pay stub layout are part of the Antigua and Barbuda design, rolling out through our launch partner program.
Position-based management for tourism and hospitality.
Positions exist independently of the people filling them. Food handler permits, hospitality certifications, and professional licenses attach to the position, not just the individual. Compliance alerts fire before credentials lapse.
Date-effective corrections for seasonal workforces.
Every record is date-stamped. Rehires, seasonal rate adjustments, and backdated corrections flow into the right pay period with the right rate applied. No recalculating affected cycles in a spreadsheet.
Data hosted in Canada, governed by Canadian law.
All data is hosted on AWS in Montreal, operated by Nortek Solutions Inc. (Workzoom's parent company). Canadian federal privacy law governs. No third-country data transfers unless you operate in those countries.
07b Statutory rates
Statutory payroll rates for Antigua & Barbuda
Current employee and employer contribution rates, ceilings, and thresholds set by the issuing authority. Workzoom configures and maintains these rates in the platform, reviewed quarterly and on every statutory change, so payroll runs use the current values.
| Contribution | Rate | Year | Source | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Antigua & Barbuda Social Security employee contribution | 6.5% | 2026 | Antigua Social Security Board | |
| Antigua & Barbuda Social Security employer contribution | 9.5% | 2026 | Antigua Social Security Board | |
| Antigua Medical Benefits Scheme combined contribution | 3.5% | 2026 | Medical Benefits Scheme |
Verified May 19, 2026 against the issuing authority for each line. Rates change. If you spot a discrepancy, contact us and we will update within one business day.

Questions about Antigua and Barbuda
Specifics on running HR and payroll in Antigua and Barbuda with Workzoom.
Deep dive
More about Antigua and Barbuda HR and payroll.
Antiguan and Barbudan HR and payroll on Workzoom
Antigua and Barbuda is a Caribbean nation with a workforce concentrated in tourism, financial services, and public sector. The HR and payroll requirements reflect the operational realities of Caribbean employment law, the statutory contribution framework that applies locally, and the workforce composition typical of small-island economies.
Workzoom supports Antigua and Barbuda with HR, Workforce, and Talent today, calculating pay to gross and exporting time and leave data to feed your existing payroll; full gross-to-net for Antigua and Barbuda is on our roadmap. The platform's architectural depth applies identically across the region, with each jurisdiction's requirements handled natively rather than as a layer on a foreign engine.
Workforce composition and platform fit
Antigua and Barbuda employers operate across hospitality, financial services, retail, telecom, and public sector segments. Each segment has its own operational profile, and the HR platform needs to absorb that variation. Workzoom's four suites handle the cross-sector reality without requiring per-segment configuration that fragments the organization.
The platform is sized for employers between 50 and 5,000 employees, which covers the operating range of most formal Antiguan and Barbudan employers. Smaller organizations may find the platform more capability than they need; mid-market and larger operators find the architectural fit clean.
Multi-island operations within the country
Antigua and Barbuda's two main islands operate as a single country with workforce coordination that often spans both. Workzoom's multi-site model handles cross-island operations on a single employee record, with location-specific scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting where required.
The pattern translates to multi-island Caribbean operations broadly. The same architectural approach that serves Antigua and Barbuda customers can scale to organizations with operations across St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, or any multi-island Caribbean territory.
Implementation and ongoing support
Implementation timeline targets 4 to 8 weeks for most mid-market Antiguan and Barbudan organizations. The Caribbean implementation methodology built up from Bahamian customers informs the playbook for Antigua and Barbuda, where HR, Workforce, and Talent are live and full gross-to-net payroll is on the roadmap. Phased rollout starting with the highest-friction modules ensures quick wins build credibility for the broader transformation.
Ongoing support runs through the same channels that serve North American customers. The Antigua and Barbuda customer gets the full Workzoom support experience rather than a regional variant. The unified support model matches the unified platform architecture.
