Yes to both. Punches from the time clock flow directly into Workzoom payroll through one shared pipeline. There is no CSV export, no integration middleware, and no manual reconciliation. Overtime is calculated automatically against the rules configured for each employee's work location. Workzoom's rules engine supports daily, weekly, and period-based thresholds plus overtime averaging: set the rule once for each Canadian province, US state, or the Bahamas your team operates in, then every approved punch runs through the right calculation without manual entry. Shift premiums, meal deductions, statutory holiday pay, and double-time premiums layer in by the same rule.
Workzoom does not export time to payroll. There is nothing to export. Approved time flows into payroll calculations in real time because they share the same database. No imports, no batch processing, no period-end scramble. Payroll sees liability building throughout the period. Workforce Suite writes time entries straight into Payroll without an integration layer. Approved time, overtime, and leave reach the pay run in real time, so the same data drives schedules, attendance, and paychecks.

Employees can bank overtime hours into PTO balances instead of receiving overtime pay. Workzoom tracks banked time separately from regular entitlements. Employees can request payouts of banked time through self-service. Time banking accumulates overtime or holiday hours into employee-owned balances that can later be redeemed as paid time off or paid out on payroll. Banked balances accrue interest where required by law.
