How this estimate works Method, assumptions & sources

A regular-pay estimate.

We annualize the pay entered using 52 weekly, 26 fortnightly, 24 semi-monthly or 12 monthly periods. NIS uses the JMD 5 million annual ceiling divided across those periods.

PAYE uses the threshold in effect from 1 April 2026 and assumes no approved pension deductions. It does not calculate cumulative withholding or the blended threshold for the full 2026 calendar year.

Check your circumstances.

Education Tax uses gross pay less employee NIS. No pension or ESOP contributions are assumed. Employer contributions include HEART at 3% when selected; switch it off if your employer is not liable. Benefits, exemptions and other deductions are excluded.

Confirm an actual pay run with your payroll adviser. All amounts are in Jamaican dollars.
