The current NIB contribution rate in the Bahamas is 4.65% for the employee and 6.65% for the employer, applied to insurable earnings up to B$830 per week since July 1, 2026 (B$810 through June 30, 2026). The rates took effect July 1, 2024 and the ceiling rose on July 1, 2026. Workzoom applies these rates automatically on every pay run.

NIB contributions are not deducted or remitted on pay above this ceiling.
